Judging the Canaan Dog

 Hindquarters:  Powerful, well bent stifles. Hocks well let down.  Strong buttocks, lightly feathered.

The hind angulation must be in balance with the front angulation in order that the dog will be able to move correctly and efficiently, without wasted energy.  The angulation is moderate but in proportion.  Strength and muscular development are essential.
